 HI!
Welcome to Mrs. Fitts' class page.  I am so excited to have your child in  my classroom this year.  Just a little about myself...I graduated from Carthage High School, Panola College and have a Masters degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.  I have been teaching for 20 yrs.  I started my teaching career in Carthage, I got married and I moved to Palestine where I taught for 14 yrs.  This was all Kindergarten until I was asked to teach first grade in Slocum, Tx.  After one yr of first grade, we were transferred to upstate NY where I taught Therapeutic Horseback riding to children with both physical and mental disabilities.  I also tutored at-risk children using my horses as motivation.  I now own and operate "Bits of Hope", a riding center for children with disabilities, here in Carthage.  I live outside of Carthage with my husband, Skip and my two sons, David, 21 yrs old. and Matt, 19, who is studying at Universal Tech in Dallas to work on high performance cars.  I fill like I have come full circle and love being back at "home" at Carthage Primary. This is my fourth year back at Primary.  Please feel free to visit us any time and look for pictures that I will add to our website as our year progresses.  We are going to have an exciting year!!!!
