Carthage ISD is proud to announce that two talented choir students have earned a coveted spot at the UIL Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest (TSSEC), following their outstanding performances at the UIL Region Solo & Ensemble competition.
Sophomores Madelynn Pugh and Micaelah Burns have both qualified to compete at the state level later this month.
"These talented young ladies represent the best of Carthage High School,ā said Carthage ISD Choir Director Justin Hodges. āWe are incredibly proud of the hard work and musical growth theyāve shown this year.ā
These students earned top ratings at the regional level, qualifying them to compete at the UIL Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville on May 24 and 26. The event brings together the most elite voice students from across Texas to perform before collegiate-level judges.
Carthage ISD congratulates Madelynn and Micaelah on this outstanding achievement and wishes them the very best as they represent the Bulldogs at the state contest.
